Mr. Litoff's Scholarship Math

I want to make sure students understand the power of scholarships in relation to dollars per hour. Here is how it works:

If you spend 5 hours working on getting a 250 dollar scholarship you will be making the equivilant of 50 dollars per hour. Now, lets list all the legal jobs that pay that amount to teenagers.........................................

My point is that those of you who have put off or been put off by filling out scholarships need to consider the above math problem. The money you get from scholarships can be anything from tuition assistance to cold hard cash. Its up to all of you to take advantage of the many scholarships that are available every year.

I also want to emphasize that many of the scholarships available are not competitive, which means that if you apply for them, you WILL get them. All it takes is a few letters of recommendation and a paragraph or two.
